The Axis Code Of Professional Ethics
At the current time there is no legislation that requires property sourcing companies such as Axis to comply with a specific set of rules. We welcome any reasonable legislation in the future.
In the meantime Axis has voluntarily drawn up a Code of Ethics, to which the company will hold itself. When a client agrees to the Client Engagement Agreement at the time of their purchase, it includes a legally binding clause that Axis is bound by the current code of ethics.
The Axis Code of Ethics
Staff and Support
- All staff are bound to be truthful and honest, providing accurate information within the limit of their knowledge
- Axis will provide the client with access to our Completion Services department to assist with any aspect of the purchase right through to completion
-
Axis will ensure that clients are kept fully informed of the progress of their property purchase and advised of any key dates and deadlines in time for the client to reasonably meet requests for information and/or funds
Marketing and Property Representation
- Axis will communicate our genuine appraisal of the property investment to the best of our professional ability, in an honest, detailed and impartial manner
- Axis marketing will provide information that is as reliable, accurate and truthful as possible, given the state of our knowledge
- Clients will be informed of the level of due diligence that has been performed and will be made aware of any areas of due diligence that have not been completed by Axis but where we believe attention is needed
- Axis will provide an assessment of fees and costs involved in purchasing and/or renovating a property that is as accurate as can reasonably be made, and will highlight any areas where costs could be variable due to factors that are currently unknown
-
Axis will provide detailed information of what is, and is not, included with any property purchase, indicating items that are not included but are reasonably likely to be required
Professional Advisors & Legal
- Any professional advisors recommended by Axis will have previous experience in dealing with investment property and off-plan property if relevant
-
Where Axis offers the client with the option of Assisted Finance, we will only recommend specific legal arrangements that fall within the current rules of the Council of Mortgage Lenders, the Law Society and any individual Mortgage Finance provider
Cooling Off, Disputes and Resolution
- Every client benefits from a 48 hour cooling off period after the submission of fees and the relevant reservation form and CEA, during which time the client is free to change their mind and request cancellation of the reservation and return of their fees without any deductions
- Axis will honour any Guarantees made by the company
- Axis will provide the client with the personal contact details of a senior Axis manager to whom direct contact can be made if any aspect of the transaction should not be going according to plan from the client's perspective
-
Axis will attempt to resolve any disputes in a timely and fair manner and wherever possible in a way that the client is completely satisfied
Changes to the Code of Ethics
-
This code of ethics is subject to change without notice. Individual clauses may be changed, deleted or added by the company at any time and the posting of a revised code on the Axis website is sufficient to make the new code binding on the company from that time. Any events taking place within the company will be subject to the Code of Ethics that was current at the time of the relevant event.
